"Betwixt Boys and Brawn"

A series of micro-shorts about the space between adolescence and adulthood when most queer people begin to get a grasp on their minds and bodies and desperately need and seek answers. We live in the information age, where knowledge, community and history are more accessible than ever. Is the internet the best space to explore our connections to ourselves and to our community? Is the past being pushed further and further away, toward obscurity in this endless bombardment of new content? Is Google our mentor?


Jose Maria Tinoco (Born 2001) is an East Los Angeles based multidisciplinary artist whose work deals closely with sexuality, identity and the idea of the “erotic.” They are currently in their third year at The University of California, Irvine and has been an exhibiting artist at the Tom of Finland Foundation’s Art and Culture festival (2020, 2021).
